• MauiWine was founded in 1974 on Ulupalakua Ranch on Maui; it began making pineapple wine and planted its vineyard in 1975.
• Volcano Winery sits in Volcano on the Island of Hawaii, about 2 miles from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park; the state tourism site calls it the Big Island's only winery.
• Volcano Winery makes wine from the Symphony grape and a macadamia nut honey wine, sold only in Hawaii.
