How to do the trail without driving
You can't walk between wineries, and the association says rideshares are very limited with long waits. In Fredericksburg, the 290 Wine Shuttle runs hop-on, hop-off service from downtown to wineries on Highway 290 every 15 minutes, 10am-6pm on Saturdays, with single departures on Fridays and Sundays. Visit Fredericksburg says the town has more than 30 wine tour companies.
