How to do the trail without driving

The trail recommends hiring a transportation company if you plan to visit several wineries and lists local operators on its transportation page. Suttons Bay Bikes runs supported bike tours along the paved Leelanau trail with 3-4 winery stops, lunch and van support. Gilchrist Farm Winery sits next to the TART bike trail in Suttons Bay. Green Bird only takes tour buses or vans by appointment.

It varies by winery: Good Harbor and Aurora charge $15 for five 1 oz samples, Chateau Fontaine charges $2 per taste.

Are dogs allowed?

Some wineries allow leashed dogs outdoors (Chateau Fontaine, Leelanau Cellars when the patio is open, Rove on the patio). Verterra does not allow pets.
